About Me

A born and raised East Coaster, I originally found my love for sharing my experiences through a blog when I was abroad in Paris my junior year in college.  I have since found my passion for environmental stewardship, social justice and community engagement.

I spent this past year (2010-2011) in Hillsboro, Oregon with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest as an Education and Outreach Specialist with SOLV, an environmental non-profit.  A recent college graduate, I am on a journey of self-discovery, not quite sure where I’ll land next; but I’m enjoying the ride!

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world.

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

  1. Dear Alex,
We have never met, but I work with your dad everyday. I had the great luck to be assigned to his classes to help those students with special needs. He is a wonderful teacher and a great colleague! He is also very proud of you.

I have navigated through your blog and it is really awesome. I only wish that something like this was around after I had finished my undergraduate years. I was in the theatre then and my experiences were rich and varied. I went from a small town to the big apple, and diary writing would have proved laborious at the time. I would have loved to add my many stage photos the way you are able to. You have inspired me to create something of my own. Keep up the great work raising environmental and social awareness!
